MBA Business Research Project: Factors Affecting the Adoption of Mobile Banking Applications in Sri Lanka

Description

This research project focused on identifying the factors affecting the adoption of mobile banking applications in Sri Lanka, with respect to one of the prominent commercial banks in Sri Lanka. The study utilized the UTAUT model to assess the impact of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions on the acceptance of mobile banking applications.

Role

Research Planning: Designed and executed a comprehensive research plan, including hypothesis development and data collection through a survey of 400 participants.

Data Analysis: Conducted reliability, descriptive, correlation, and regression analyses to test hypotheses and determine relationships between variables.

Findings and Recommendations: Identified that effort expectancy had the highest impact on adoption, followed by performance expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions. Recommended strategies to increase customer awareness and improve facilitating conditions to enhance the adoption rate.
